In 1995 the World Police and Fire Games were held in Melbourne Australia. Some 15,000 police and fire personel gathered for the largest sporting festival that Australia has ever seen. Equestrian sports were held and Mira Mar donated the use of their stallion DESTINO for the dressage. A rider from the India was allocated our horse and after only a day with Destino rode to a gold medal in the Novice section. Captain S Maribashetti is commandant of the Mysore Mounted Police (formerly the Maharjah's Body Guard).

So started a relationship with the city of Mysore that makes us want to return frequently.

"Don't take the rein over the neck of the horse"

"Bend your horse through the corners"

"The rein is not a canter aid"
